Adrienne Roark's Bio:

Adrienne Roark is the President and General Manager at KOIN 6 in Portland, Oregon. She joined the station in June, 2014. Prior to joining KOIN, Adrienne was the Vice President and News Director at CBS11 in Dallas, Texas. She joined the station in March of 2010 from CBS Television’s CBS4 in Miami, where she was the news director.  While there, she created an award winning Investigative Unit; worked closely with 60 Minutes on a major story on Medicare Fraud, and did the first ever on-air story shot entirely with an iPhone. Before joining the team in Miami, Adrienne was the assistant news director at WESH in Orlando.  There, she helped get sister station WDSU through Hurricane Katrina by setting up an emergency newsroom for WDSU and overseeing 53 days of continuous hurricane coverage. Adrienne also previously worked in Miami as an executive producer at WTVJ; in Cleveland as an executive producer of special projects and investigations and in Columbus, Ohio as an executive producer, a special projects producer, news producer, and editor.Adrienne is a veteran journalist with close to 25 years of news experience.  An Ohio native, she began her career as an intern at WBNS in Columbus.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from The Ohio State University and was a 2008 Poynter Ethics Fellow.  Adrienne is also a member of the Advisory Committee for the College of Arts and Sciences at Ohio State. She is a three-time regional Emmy winner and has received six regional Edward R. Murrow Awards. When she’s not at work, Adrienne can usually be found with her husband watching their sons, Alex, 14, and Stephen, 9, play in local tennis matches.
